Millicom is a leading telecommunications and digital services provider which serves 50 million customers and employs over 12,000 people around the world. We are seeking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer for one of our branch in Kigali who will be responsible for the general management and Strategy.
Key Responsibilities

 Creates annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the board and correlate with annual operating budgets; submits annual plans to the board for approval
 Collaborates with the board to define and articulate the organization’s vision and to develop strategies for achieving that vision
 Develops and monitors strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization
 Develops future leadership within the organization and promotes a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity
 Ensures that staff practices all appropriate accounting procedures in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
 Provides prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the board appropriately informed of the organization’s financial position
 Oversees the operations of organization and manages its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
 Creates and maintains procedures for implementing plans approved by the board of directors
 Evaluates the organization’s and the staff’s performance as per policy (Performance management and improvement systems)
 Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
 Manage advertising opportunities in other theatre program, press and at venues; Organize the availability of company members for media/PR events as necessary and press development
 Serves as the primary spokesperson and representative for the organization
 Acts as a liaison between the organization and the community, building relationships with peer organizations when appropriate
 Collects and analyzes evaluation information that measures the success of the organization’s program efforts; refines or changes programs in response to that information
 Serves as a primary person in donor/investor relationships and the person to make one-on-one fund raising solicitations
 Develops fund raising strategies with the board and supports the board in fund raising activities
 Oversees staff in the development and implementation of fund raising plans that support strategies adopted by the responsible Board Committee
Position Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

 Superior management skills, including time management, people management, and resource management.
 Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
 Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
 Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives
 Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented, multi-tasker
 Flexible and able to work within an ambiguous, fast moving environment, whereas driving towards clarity and solutions; demonstrate resourcefulness in setting priorities and investment in people and systems.
 Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis.
 Fluent in English with knowledgeable of French, Kinyarwanda and Swahili as an advantage.

Education & Experience
 Master’s in Business Administration, or other relevant field
 Min 5 years’ experience in a senior management role ideally in banking/insurance sector or Knowledge in IT Projects
 Nice to have: minimum of 5 years of working experience in Africa
